What is Mindfulness/ How is it different from Meditation?
Mindfulness is simply developing the practice of being aware of the present moment in a compassionate and non-judgmental way.
In this way it makes a completely secular departure from meditation or any of the mystical sects of religions that offer forms of meditation for contemplation or connection with a higher consciousness or higher power. Mindfulness is therefor accessible people of all ages, religions, or belief systems. It is the practice of cultivating peace of mind, empathy and focus through simple awareness.
Mindfulness can be many things. We can sit mindfully, breath mindfully, speak mindfully or practice mindful walking. Eventually, mindfulness becomes a peaceful and compassionate way of life.

Mindfulness Offerings
Mindful Cashiers Organization: I am currently in the process of developing MindfulCashiers.org. This is an organization designed to train educators in mindfulness for their own self-care and resilience as well as to enhance their teaching skills. We also bring mindfulness education to students in a myriad of ways to impact their daily life. We will also be offering community events to teach adults and families mindfulness, and finally we will be participating in social activism through the purchase and wearing of our soon to be famous "Cultivate Kindness" T-shirts on specific organized days in town to make an impact on our visitors and to keep our vibe high!
Mindfulness for Groups and Businesses: I am now offering trainings to businesses and small groups specifically in mindfulness. Mindfulness is a great way to enhance your business culture, "cultivate kindness!" as well as increase focus and productivity. I keep it fun and light and tailer each training to your specific needs, culture and goals. Contact me for more information. I look forward to extending the culture of mindfulness to you and your business, and further expanding our culture of mindfulness in Cashiers and beyond!
